Add gene statistics
Add statistics that tell me what kinds of movies I like to watch, given my ratings.

have the ability to track actors/directors
I'd like to be able to know when, say, a new Quentin Tarantino project has been announced. When I go to the Quentin Tarantino page, I could click on a button that says "track this person," and then when Tarantino announces that he's making a new movie, I get a notification about it. The notification could appear on my profile page or maybe on the home page.

Gauge Interest of Movies to come
get a sense from the community on whether they will watch movies that are soon to release. with my friends, i usually put upcoming movies in the following categories: watch it at the theaters, wait for it to come out on dvd or forget it.

add actors' pictures to Cast search results
I search for Clint Eastwood, and none of the actors in the search results had pictures

I would like to quickly rate an actor or director's movies in their filmography page

Go straight to movie when exact title is entered in search
It would be very nice if you did a search on a movie, and if you spelled everything correctly, it would take you straight to the movie's page. Kind of like how Amazon does their thing.

We’re debating implementing this. It works really well in some cases, but there are a few cases (e.g. spiderman, pirates of the caribbean) for which it would be more difficult to determine what would be an exact title match. That said, I think we’ve come up with a good solution that we will try over the next few weeks.

make a movie poster collage widget on user profile
have a widget that will display a bunch of movie posters from your collection. the size of each poster will vary depending on what you rated it, favorite status, number of genes tagged, etc. then you can roll over each poster to see quick details, or click on the poster to go to the movie page. you can also apply this to the gene page. it will be very pretty.
